Because we are all different, one to one training is the ideal way to study Pilates. A qualified Pilates Instructor can make a full assessment of your current abilities and design a programme that will be tailored to meet your specific needs. Then she will work with you to build on your strengths as well as your weaknesses.
Do I have to be fit to do Pilates?
Absolutely not! Pilates is suitable for almost everyone, from the high performance athlete to people with a range of health problems.
Because we know that you are busy, Personal Pilates takes place in your own home at a time
that is convenient to you. So you don't even have to leave your lounge to get a great
specialised workout!
Of course. Pilates can be fun to do with a friend or partner. The only consideration is that you are both of similar fitness levels and Pilates experience. For example, a trained athlete is likely to have very different requirements to a slightly overweight sedentary person suffering with back problems.
How often should I do Personal Pilates? This is entirely up to you and will depend on your budget, the time you have available, and your current fitness programme. Some clients enjoy training three times a week while others find that one session a week fits perfectly into their lifestyle.
Of course Personal Pilates sessions cost more than general classes, but our clients feel that an hour of intense individual attention, from a highly qualified teacher, is worth paying a little extra for!
